Returns & Cancellations Policy
At Split Bean Machines, we understand that investing in commercial coffee equipment is a major decision for your business. That’s why we take time with you before your order is confirmed to ensure the equiptment you choose is the right fit — from capacity and features to installation requirements and overall suitability. Our goal is to make sure your equipment supports your business with confidence from day one.
As we supply equipment to UK businesses on a B2B basis, purchases are governed by the Sale of Goods Act 1979. Consumer “cooling-off” rights do not apply. Instead, your purchase is supported by the warranty terms shown on each product page.
Acceptance of Goods
On delivery, please check your equipment carefully before signing.
-
If visible damage is present, do not sign for the delivery and notify us immediately.
-
If damage is discovered after signing, you must call us straight away and provide photographs so we can raise the issue with the courier within their timeframes.
-
Once the equipment has been signed for in good condition, it is considered accepted and the order is treated as final sale, except where a warranty issue is later confirmed.
Installation and Use
Commercial espresso machines should be installed by Split Bean Machines or one of our approved installation partners. This ensures the machine is set up safely and in line with manufacturer guidelines.
If you choose to arrange your own installation:
-
We cannot guarantee it has been installed to manufacturer standards.
-
Any issues caused during or after installation will be your responsibility.
-
In these cases, Split Bean Machines will not intervene, and you may need to resolve the matter directly with the manufacturer.
Returns & Issues
We will always resolve genuine issues promptly and professionally.
-
Incorrect item – If you receive the wrong product, we will organise collection and delivery of the correct one without delay.
-
Damaged in transit – If courier damage is confirmed, we will arrange a repair or replacement at no cost to you.
-
Manufacturing defect – If you suspect a defect, please contact us immediately. We will investigate and may arrange an independent inspection. If the issue is confirmed as a manufacturing fault, the machine will be repaired or replaced under warranty.
Custom or Bespoke Orders
Custom-built, branded, or specially configured machines and grinders are considered final sale once the order has been placed. These items cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded, except where a manufacturing defect is confirmed under warranty. This is because they are tailored specifically for your business and cannot be resold or restocked.
Warranty and Maintenance
Each piece of equipment comes with a product-specific warranty, outlined clearly on the relevant product page. If you are unsure of the cover provided, please contact us before ordering and we will confirm the details.
To keep your warranty valid, equipment must be maintained in line with the manufacturer’s official guidelines. This includes regular servicing, filter changes, cleaning, and general upkeep as specified. Warranties do not cover equipment that has been neglected, improperly maintained, or used outside the manufacturer’s instructions. Responsibility for correct maintenance rests with the customer.
Our Commitment to You
Returns of commercial coffee equipment are rare, because we work with you upfront to make sure your machine or grinder is the right choice from the beginning. By confirming suitability in advance and supporting you through the buying process, we minimise the risk of downtime, unexpected costs, or disruption.
If you ever have questions about product suitability, installation requirements, or warranty cover, please contact us before placing your order. Our team is always ready to advise and guide you to the best option for your business.
